The intended beneficiaries of the “Home Care” program are senior citizens and disabled persons, i.e. people with sensory and mobility problems, people who suffer from mental illnesses and mentally handicapped people.  Priority is given to:

  • People unable to care for themselves
  • People who need specialized care
  • Lonely or abandoned individuals in need
  • People having insufficient resources or income
  • Families or individuals with social problems

The “Home Care” program supports the populations of the Kallikratis Municipalities of Kissamos, Platanias and Kantanos – Selino.

A team of professionals provide home care services completely free of charge according to the needs of each person.  The key objective is that the senior citizens and the disabled persons should be able to remain in their familiar physical and social environment; that the cohesion of their family should be preserved; that the use of institutional care should be avoided, as should situations of social exclusion; that they should be ensured a decent and healthy life and that the quality of their life should be improved.
