The main objective of the Social Service is decent conditions for  patients through ensuring a smooth psychosocial course. To meet the different needs, the Social Service takes care of:

• The receipt of social background, which is required for the best and most personalized care
• Participation in interdisciplinary treatment teams with purpose the  treatment, the  prevention, the promotion  and the maintenance of the  patients ’ health.
• Provision of  counseling -emotonal support to inpatients and their Provision of  counseling – emotional  support to inpatients and their families
• Adaptation  to the disease and the management of  grief / loss and trauma
• Intervention  in crisis situations due to illness
• Provision of  information on welfare – insurance benefits and services
• Reference to community services
• Dealing with medical-social  issues of patients, which are directly related to the state of their psychosomatic health
• Recording psychosocial route with treatment plan in the personal file of patients
