The public television station "Nea Television" organised a of Love for the Annousakeio Therapeutic Centre on March 31 2007.

The aim was to raise money for the Annousakeio Centre’s wide range Resident and Non-Resident services and programmes: services provided inside the therapeutic centre, the two home care services and the three physiotherapeutic centres which operate in different regions. In addition, funds were allocated toward the completion of the new independent wing for elderly couples who often cannot be placed together, at least not without a very long waiting period.

As part of the television panel, many representatives of the Church, the State and the social institutions supported the marathon of love.

The local community responded to the Annousakeio Centre’s plea for help and an important sum of money was raised, expressing the public’s sensitivity towards those who require care but are alone or do not have sufficient familial support, or are unable to care for themselves due to health problems and do not have access to the health services that exist at the urban centres.
