The Annousakeio
Therapeutic Centre has organised a wide network of health services
in accordance with current social demands and needs. Focusing mainly on In
Residence and Non-Resident Care, Annousakeio combines the latest developments
in technology with a strong respect for the personality and rights of each
individual.
Based on the belief that the frail old age group
of our society needs special care, the Annousakeio Therapeutic Centre’s central
axis is the overall and effective fulfilment of it’s guests’ needs.
In the In-Residence sector, the Annousakeio
Therapeutic Centre provides the elderly with a safe therapeutic environment in
a small harmonious community offering at the same time individualised care.
Related services include medical and nursing care, specialized physiotherapy,
psychological support, ergotherapy, entertainment, camps, excursions, etc.
In order to form a warm environment, within the
Annousakeio Centre there are rooms for recreational activities, a cafeteria,
living room, ergotherapy room, kitchen, and dining room, as well as equipped
individual bedrooms, modern appliances and vehicles (for example those that
help lift the elderly) that make their everyday personal care (such as bathing)
much easier.

Two Home Care Teams offer assistance and support to
people in the Kisamos and Selino region in their home environment. Their intent
is to maintain, as much as possible, their ability to care for themselves.
Annousakeio has also created three additional
fully equipped regional
Physiotherapy Centres in order to offer the residents of these
regions the care that would be otherwise unavailable to them because they live
far away from specialised health services.
The operation of different care services that Annousakeio provides is based on contemporary social perceptions. Many different needs and objectives are addressed through autonomous facilities that spring from the Annousakeio Therapeutic Centre, thus establishing it as a Modern Centre of Care that offers rehabilitation and social support.
